This website was born out of a desire to visually analyze the traits of a hybrid and its pod and pollen parents. For the time being it is
limited to the genus Cypripedium. However, I intend to open it up to other genera if there is enough interest.
My intent is to have visitors to the site submit good pictures of each species and hybrid and possibly even extend pictures to the plant
and its habitat as well. I also intend to have a way for visitors to propose changes or provide details of each plant, i.e. taxonomy, region, common names, flower size, etc.
And lastly, any suggestions for additions/modifications to the details of each plant, stats for the data page, and the site itself would be greatly appreciated.
